Title: Windows and Unix Administrator


Administer/support server infrastructure – (1) Wintel (windows 2003), (2)UNIX (Solaris 8/9/10, LINUX RHEL)
Exposure to Change Management, Incidence Management & Documentation
Upgrade and apply patches on the servers, do day to day system maintenance
Support Data Center Technologies infrastructure.
Onsite support for File/Print, ADS, SMS, and Anti Virus infrastructure
Configuration management, capacity, and performance management.
Capacity monitoring and forecasting space usage on Wintel servers
Document/test procedures for BCP/DR configuration & drill
Liaise with Change Management Team and adhere to change management procedures & guidelines.
Vendor management for hardware/software deployment, equipment failures, etc.
Create/maintain/update documentation for server infrastructure
Support Tape Libraries – Backup and Veritas Netbackup infrastructure (desirable but not mandatory)
Work closely within team, with other towers and regional teams and able to work independently with minimum supervision
Be an effective team member , and possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Good verbal & written communication skills



Education & Professional Qualifications, Expérience:
Academic qualification – Degree/Diploma in Engineering would be useful but not mandatory.
Technical certifications like MCP, MCSE will be an added advantage
Should have relevant hands on experience in the range of 2 to 4 years
Location : Mumbai
