THE POSITION

Company: IT COMPANY

Title: HEAD – HUMAN RESOURCES (VICE PRESIDENT)

Reports to: CEO

Duties:

The outline of duties includes:
- HR Strategy - Drive the design and implementation of HR strategies in a high growth
environment
- HR Policy - Formulate comprehensive HR policies
- Capability Assessment - Assess capability needs and gaps
- Recruitment - Conceptualise recruitment strategies & Manage hiring process. Develop high impact induction programme. Attract professionals with different background at different levels. Make active efforts to enhance image of the organisations at campuses
- Attrition Management- Put in place Attrition Control measures to keep attrition below industry levels
- Performance Management & Appraisal - Install performance management system and appraisal system. Design and re-design Performance Appraisal and Management processes
- Career Development -Design career development plans for the employees & Senior Management / Leadership Development . Active involvement in Succession Planning for strategic positions in the Organisation, Coaching for Senior Management Team. Introduce Career Planning model and help meet the aspirations of employees and also help the company to build a cadre. Develop management and career development tools that favour individual fulfilment and rally employees around the same ambition
- Training & Development - Identify training needs. Evolve core competencies of the organisation and align the development of Managers and employees to build the competencies in relation to the individual Training Plan
- Compensation - Benchmark compensation packages on a regular basis. Devise compensation and incentive structures to retain key talent and weed out non performers. Introduce/ Implement Compensation, ESOP, Rewards and Incentive Schemes H R Systems and Processes. Put in place a remuneration policy that helps performance through recognition of individual and collective contributions, seeking internal equity and harmony with external market
- Employee Satisfaction - Gauge employee satisfaction. Institutionalize model for Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Company Feedback process, Open Forum , Organisation and Individual learning programmes
- Employee Retention - Suggest innovative retention strategies. Introduce mentoring process to help retain and improve communication process
- Organisational Development -Employee Communication and Participatory Culture - Introduce upward and downward channels of communication through regular meetings with managers and employees
- Global HR Benchmarking - Establish systems and processes for recruitment and career progression within the organization and benchmark the company’s Human Resources policies and standards to those applicable globally at IT companies
- Advise and convince Senior Management on Human Resources processes and need for implementation
- Compliance - Ensure compliance with all applicable local and international HR and labour laws. Evolve employee related policies and procedures for ISO Certification and P-CMM

THE PERSON
Competencies:
- Proven ability to bring process and standards to global benchmarks in a highly scalable organization
- Leadership abilities in terms of personality that allows for building a corporate culture in a highly fluid and scalable environment
- Proven ability to attract top tier candidates specially in the Senior management area

Experience: Minimum 15 -20 years. Between 15 to 20 years of total experience of
which at least 5yrs should be in HR Head/No 2 in HR at a IT company. A
demonstrated track record of independent HR initiatives aimed at people growth and empowerment in a highly scalable environment. Strong familiarity with
Performance Appraisals, Handling Attrition, Employee Communication,
Work Culture Management, Systems & policies & Employee Engagement in a globally benchmarked IT company. Experience in Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits and Career planning and succession in a rapidly scaling IT company Exposure to management development / training preferable

Education: MBA or advanced degree in Human Resources

Specific - Must have at least 5 years experience as a HR Head or No 2 HR at an IT
Company/BPO
- Must have 10 years of experience in an IT/BPO company’s HR Department
- Experience in handling large HR teams (in excess of 50 people) spread over multiple locations
- International exposure or working with multiple global locations is preferred
CTC:
30-40 Lacs
