THE POSITION
Title: GENERAL MANAGER – BULK DRUGS R&D
Reports to: DIRECTOR – R&D
Duties: The candidate will have the following broad duties:
- Overall responsibility for bulk drugs research and their commercial viability
- Work on processes for new products that are manufacturable, stable and approvable under various regulatory guidelines in Indian and globally, specially US markets
- Work in pursuit of DMF filings for APIs for the US markets
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and technical developments within the industry
- Update processes, procedures and presentations by participating in a synergistic relationship with Process Development scientists and interaction with other departments
Challenges: The candidate will have to deal with the following challenges in this position:
- Remain on the cutting edge of Bulk Drugs research
- Optimize cost during bulk drugs development keeping in mind multiple regulatory jurisdictions the products will be sold
- Work closely with the bulk drugs team to ensure commercialization of research work
