Job Function: ESPA Administrator
Unit: Managed Services

Primary Responsibilities

The person shall be responsible for maintaining the ESPA hardware/software platform.
Responsible for software and hardware upgrades as needed.
The person shall be responsible for taking technical inputs/requirements from the Managed Services resources for customization and enhancements.
Issue and Maintain User Accounts.
Work very closely with ESPA development team to implement the customizations/enhancements.
Contribute towards the development of the tool if required.
Perform internal testing to identify problems early and perform error and test scenarios
Identify and recommend where additional hardware and software required

Required Knowledge/Skills

1. Bachelors Degree in CS or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience

2. Systems
Hardware Knowledge creating RAID, Adding external storage, Hot Swapping and cold swapping of hardware as required
Sound knowledge of Windows 2003, Updates, creating users, mapping drives, backups. Writing batch programs and Perl scripts
IIS installation and hosting web sites and .NET installation as required
Antivirus installation and updates.

3. Storages
SAN knowledge creating RAID groups, LUNS, Storage Groups. Performance and tuning storage.


4. SQL Server DBA
(Expertise in installing SQL Server, Creating database, File groups and Datafiles. Writing procedures and functions. Creating users and granting permissions. Tuning SQL statements. Backup databases)

5. Expertise in installing, configuring backup software (Symantec Backup Exec)

6. Knowledge of UNIX desired

7. .NET Knowledge is required

8. Oracle DBA (Preferred)
(Expertise in installing oracle software, creating database, tuning oracle, tablespaces, sizing extents, creating tables, partitions, procedures, functions, sequences, indexes as required. Creating users, Roles and granting permissions.)

9. Good communication and project management skills desired.
